Uralba Hostel is a not-for-profit organisation that was established in 1989 to provide much-needed aged care to the community of Gundagai. Our facility was built using money raised by the local community and for over 25 years, we have worked tirelessly to offer the very best care to those who need our services. Right from the start, we wanted to create an aged care facility that would offer our Consumers the safety, care, dignity, respect and privacy they need, and we believe our special, home-like atmosphere has succeeded in helping people to get the very most out of life.

Our hostel

Uralba Hostel sits in a beautiful area of land behind the new Gundagai Multi-purpose Service overlooking the historic township of Gundagai and the picturesque Murrumbidgee River Flats. Our location provides residents with a relaxing and inspirational environment that complements our outstanding care services.

The facility itself is a purpose-built, low-care hostel which can accommodate 18 permanent Consumers, plus a respite room which can be booked for temporary stays, for example, when a carer or a loving family simply needs a break.
